Where’s Your Favorite Baby Boutique?

September 1st, 2009

If there was ever an unsung hero in the parenting business, it’s the small boutiques that sprinkle the landscapes of our towns and cities.  While there’s no shortage of large shops with larger-than-life products, these smaller boutiques provide us with a special glimpse into the new, interesting, and sometimes fanatical creations of other excited parentpreneurs worldwide.  Our local boutique owner is the curator of all things baby and it’s, quite often a job done purely out of love.

At Lil’Grams, as a small business ourselves, there’s a special place in our hearts for other small businesses,  especially retailers who have unique challenges that only come with operating a real-life store :)   As part of our Baby on Board Tour, we’re hoping to find the best boutiques our host cities have to offer and to have a quick chat with the store owners themselves.  I’m sure that their story is as interesting as any, if not more so!

If you’ve got a favorite shop that you frequent and think they deserve to have the spotlight turned on them, give them a shout out here or on one of the tour-specific events.  We’ll do our best to reach out to them and hopefully share their story with you all.

    Albee’s in NYC

  2. My favorite baby boutique is a place called Second Chances, in Amherst, MA. They have an array of high-end new and formerly-new baby essentials and non-essentials.
