Feature: Address Book Refresh

October 21st, 2009

The Address Book is one of the most important parts of every Lil’Grams account – it handles routing the right updates to the right people at the right time.

Managing contacts from multiple services is no small feat, though we’ve done our best to make that as simple as possible.  We’re happy to report that, with the help of Kimberly (one of our valued customers), we’ve made some great improvements.

Last week, Kimberly started her new account and was busy inviting friends and family to share in the fun. Quickly, however, some things were just not as intuitive as they needed to be.  She reached out to us via email and asked:

1. Who has been invited and who hasn’t?
2. Who’s accepted their invitation and who hasn’t?
3. Which service was someone invited from?
4. How do I re-send an invite to someone?

I thought these were all great questions and that lead to a flash round of inspiration and development.  Later that night, I had the chance to consider all of the questions and came up with a new solution.  Six hours after that, we had already implemented it and were testing it on our staging server.  A day later – it was live and now it’s there for everyone to enjoy.

Here’s what your new Address Book looks like:

We’re happy with the results, but, more importantly, we’re happy that Kimberly reached out to us to let us know how we can make things better.  We can’t always make changes this fast, but we certainly do our best to address your concerns immediately.

Do you have an idea or wish something worked differently?  Send your notes to hello@lifegrams.com or call us during Office Hours (or any other time!).
